Improved checkout process will make shopping hassle-free!

Hello AlertPay members,

We have some good news to share with all of you. Once again, the team has been working very diligently on further improving our services for you. Keep reading!

Checkout just got easier!

One of our main priorities is making online shopping as simple and secure as possible, so we are happy to announce that our checkout process is more streamlined and user-friendly. If you have ever used our quick and easy Send Money feature, then you will love our new checkout process since it is almost identical.

Now you can choose your source of funds on the very first page when making a payment through a seller's website. Since we have eliminated an entire step, you can make your purchase in no time at all.

Also, non-members can make up to three credit card purchases through our services without having to login or validate their email. Please note that after the third purchase, non-members will have to validate their email address – which only takes a few minutes.

We hope that you enjoy the benefits of our new and improved checkout process and that your customer experience is a positive one! Improved checkout process will make shopping hassle-free!

  1. I am glad that your service is strongly working to improve own services. It would be great if you add multi-language version of your website and support.

  2. I would like to see a greater variety of continue order/buy now/add to cart buttons. Varying colors would be nice to.
    Thanks for listening

  3. Hey Pierce,

We should be launching a new series of buttons around early September. Not only will there be a greater variety to choose from, but they will also allow for more customization. Introducing donation buttons will be a major component of this project.

  4. I keep on trawling the 'net for a suitable AlertPay shopping cart which will run on JavaSript or html, or even a Form. I see that AlertPay are recommending the Zen-Cart, but it looks a bit difficult to configure. Is there any chance that there will be an official shopping cart for us to put in our site eventually? It is highly necessary for shoppers to be able to buy mor ethan one item at a time, seems rediculous.

  5. Hi,

The reason we do not have our own shopping cart is simply because we are trying to perfect our main service, which is secure third-party payment processing, and also because we do not feel that it is necessary to develop what has already been created and continually improved upon.

We create features, tools and services based on priority and what is needed most for our members. Furthermore, the existing third-party shopping carts are already so flexible and efficient that it would be counter-productive to develop a feature that we do not specialize in.

With that said, we will still consider developing our own shopping cart but only once we have the resources and need to do so.

    Thank you for your understanding.

  6. I find the checkout process crazy and incredibily limiting to your customer's businesses but also your own.

Take this example right, a customer has to sign up to my web site and go through the check out process, come to the payment side i can program it to send them through to alertpay. But not only do they have to create an account, there is no intuitive way to send the previously captured customer information to the alertpay registration process. Which means they have to enter it all in again, and then their billing information and then come back to pay for their original purchase.

Don't you think if you had this sorted that your business would not atleast double?

  7. Hi Anonymous,

Thank you for your feedback. It's because of vocal members like you that we learn about what works and what does not work for the people who use our services.

We are currently re-designing our Sign Up process to be more user-friendly and intuitive. And it even look better - way better!

When members make a payment through AlertPay for the first time, they actually are signing up. All they have to do to use that account again and never worry about entering their information again is validate their email address. We will make sure that this more intuitively communicated through our content.

    Hope this was helpful!
