Between May 10-12, AlertPay will be attending the annual meeting and expo of the Electronic Transactions Association (ETA) held in San Diego, California. The ETA is an international association representing companies like AlertPay that offer electronic transaction processing products and services. The ETA helps set industry-standard best practices through education, advocacy and the exchange of information. AlertPay has recently become a member and is looking forward to attending this year's event.
Since our main product revolves around electronic payments, a few lucky AlertPay representatives and key leaders have been selected to represent our interests at this year's meeting and expo. This will give us the opportunity to learn about new trends and developments in the electronic payments field, and meet many of our partners and service providers face-to-face. We also have the opportunity to meet new people and develop even more partnerships so we can continue delivering our products and services to you, our members - existing and prospective.
This expo is considered the "most diverse and comprehensive" in the payment industry so we intend to return to Montreal with an arsenal of new information, expertise and stronger relationships with our business partners who make our product possible.
Not only will there be a Golf Tournament to kick off the two day conference, but there will also be a discussion featuring Apple Computer Inc.'s Steve Wozniak on entrepreneurship, technology and their impact on electronic payments. There will be workshops and talks on government regulation of debit cards, PCI compliance, fraud, security, e-commerce, global updates on the EMV (Europay, MasterCard and Visa) chip and much more. There will even be a "Party on the Harbour" to reconnect with colleagues with the San Diego sunset as a backdrop. Not too shabby!
But all of this fun and excitement will serve the very important purpose of strengthening our business relationships and learning as much as we can about major trends and changes in the industry so we can confidently move towards a productive and fruitful future.
