The International Cup for Australian Rules Football (AFL) is taking place right now in Australia: August 12 - 27, 2011 in Melbourne and Sydney. What does this have to do with AlertPay? Quite a bit!
AlertPay is the online payment processor for AFL Canada, the AFL’s governing body in Canada, and has recently been made an official supplier/sponsor. This allows AFL "footy" clubs in Canada to receive membership payments and sales for footy gear and club events through AlertPay.
AFL Canada exists to promote the development and awareness of Australian rules football to Canadians and non-Canadians living in Canada, with thriving leagues in Ontario, Quebec, Alberta & British Columbia. AFL Canada also oversees the various national teams in Canada, such as the Canada Northwind (mens) and Canada Northern Lights (wom
ens) teams playing in Australia as we speak.
